Here you will find a detailed list of resources available to you for many types of assistance. Regardless of how much energy, time and effort we expend in our attempts to make this list all encompassing, it will never include every available resource. As a result, my plan is to focus on resources that are available nationwide, regardless of where you live in the United States of America. For now, here are a few well-known resources, some of which have detailed lists of other available agencies & resources.

National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI)
- The resources on NAMI’s site are not necessarily all geared towards the crisis type situation.
- Although according to their site they do offer a crisis hotline weekdays during normal business hours.
- It is a great starting point to learn more about resources that may be available before you are in crisis.

Whether you reside inside or outside of the USA if you are aware of a national resource in your area, we encourage you to share this information with us. Once you do we will research the specific information you provide, and where necessary obtain permission to copy some basic info from the site owner as a summary, and also create link(s) to the site.
While we will also accept local resources and attempt to create a list containing resources by state, this could be an extremely large and data intensive undertaking. So please understand if it will take us some time to add submissions.
Lastly, if you encounter a broken link, or website that is no longer in existence, or maybe even an erroneous listing, please report it to us so that we may keep our list as up-to-date as humanly possible.
