Tupeak Hope was formed in 2014 with the goal of educating patients, family, and caregivers of all disciplines and education levels to work together towards the common goal of improved healthcare, and by extension improved quality of life.
This goal can be accomplished by educating patients how they can learn to understand the importance of becoming an active participant in their own healthcare towards the goal of improved overall patient health. By educating those accessing the healthcare system in how to more effectively communicate their needs, they can expect a more collaborative approach to their healthcare goals between them and their practitioners. Through education, we aim to share techniques in preparing for appointments, effective communication, proper patient self-education to foster a better understanding of their own health needs. Patient self-advocacy is a huge part of our mission, and extremely important for every patient in order to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Further, professionals of all skill and educational levels can be educated how to actively listen, work in conjunction with patients, their families, and other caregivers towards a better understanding of the patient, and their individual healthcare needs.
